Design Plans

Branding + Interior Design

CALL IT A COLAB, CALL IT A SISTER THING

Hi, my name is Mallory, Carey’s sister. When Carey began making her big reno plans, my pent-up HGTV neurons were a’firing. So when she asked me to lend a hand with the guest flat branding and interior design, it was such an easy yes! I have long had a love for interior design (and killer deals.) So my thrifting, collecting, and schlepping will hopefully come in handy at The Burrow!

Pairing with Carey’s sustainability mindset, my aim is to exclusively outfit the guest flat with a curated selection of previously loved and handmade pieces. Shopping second-hand is hardly a revolutionary idea, but it is a great way to add soul to a space as well as stick to a shoestring budget. Alongside found and refurbished pieces, we will be curating a collection of artworks and wares from both of our creative communities. The idea is to have a shoppable guest flat, where artists can showcase their works to a new audience free of commission.

This project begins where all good projects do, with a moodboard and a dream. The design scheme is inspired by our childhood love of ‘The Redwall’ book series by Brian Jacques, my love of cozy English cottages and Carey’s love of Scandi-Mod pops of color.
